Ground Turkey Philly Cheesesteak Sliders on Hawaiian Rolls

Ingredients

Sliders

  • 1 package King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (12-count)
  • 1½ lbs lean ground turkey (93% lean)
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Butter Topping

  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat Oven

Preheat oven to:
350°F

Lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish.


Step 2: Cook the Peppers & Onions

Heat olive oil in a skillet.

Cook:

  • bell pepper
  • onion

For about 5 minutes until softened.

Remove and set aside.


Step 3: Cook the Ground Turkey

Add ground turkey to the skillet.

Cook until browned.

Add:

  • garlic powder
  • onion powder
  • paprika
  • black pepper
  • salt
  • Worcestershire sauce

Mix well.

Return peppers and onions to the skillet.

Cook another 2 minutes.


Step 4: Assemble the Sliders

Without separating the rolls, slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally.

Place the bottom half in the baking dish.

Spread the turkey mixture evenly over the rolls.

Top with:

  • 8 slices provolone cheese

Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese.


Step 5: Add the Butter Topping

Mix together:

  • melted butter
  • garlic powder
  • parsley

Brush generously over the tops of the rolls.


Step 6: Bake

Cover loosely with foil.

Bake:
15 minutes

Remove foil and bake:
5 more minutes

Until cheese is melted and rolls are golden brown.


Step 7: Serve

Let cool for 5 minutes.

Cut into individual sliders and serve.
