Creamy Cajun Shrimp Alfredo (Easy Restaurant-Style Pasta)

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • Water for boiling
  • 1 tablespoon salt

Shrimp

  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Alfredo Sauce 🧄🧈

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Optional:

  • parsley
  • red pepper flakes

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

Boil water in a large pot.

Add:

  • salt
  • fettuccine noodles

Cook according to package directions.

Drain and set aside.


Step 2: Season the Shrimp

In a bowl mix shrimp with:

  • olive oil
  • Cajun seasoning
  • paprika
  • garlic powder
  • black pepper

Step 3: Cook the Shrimp 🍤🔥

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.

Cook shrimp:

  • 2–3 minutes per side

Remove once pink and slightly crispy.

Do NOT overcook.


Step 4: Make the Alfredo Sauce

In the same pan melt:

  • butter

Add garlic and cook:

  • 1 minute

Pour in heavy cream.

Stir and simmer:

  • 3–4 minutes

Add:

  • parmesan cheese
  • garlic powder
  • onion powder
  • Cajun seasoning
  • salt
  • pepper

Stir until creamy and smooth.


Step 5: Combine Everything

Add cooked pasta into sauce.

Mix well.

Top with shrimp.

Optional:
Add parsley and red pepper flakes.

Serve hot 🔥
