Healthy Ground Turkey Lasagna (Easy Family Favorite)

Ingredients
Meat Sauce
- 1½ lbs lean ground turkey (93% lean)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 (24 oz) jars marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
Cheese Mixture
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
Lasagna Layers
- 12 lasagna noodles, cooked
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat Oven
Preheat oven to:
375°F
Lightly spray a 9x13 baking dish.
Step 2: Make the Turkey Sauce
Heat olive oil in a large skillet.
Add:
- onion
- garlic
Cook for:
3–4 minutes
Add ground turkey.
Cook until browned.
Add:
- marinara sauce
- Italian seasoning
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- salt
- pepper
Simmer:
10 minutes
Step 3: Make the Cheese Mixture
In a bowl combine:
- ricotta cheese
- egg
- Parmesan cheese
- parsley
Mix well.
Step 4: Layer the Lasagna
Spread 1 cup sauce in the bottom of the baking dish.
Layer:
- lasagna noodles
- ricotta mixture
- turkey sauce
- mozzarella cheese
Repeat layers until ingredients are used.
Finish with:
- sauce
- mozzarella cheese
Step 5: Bake
Cover with foil.
Bake:
35 minutes
Remove foil.
Bake:
15 more minutes
Until bubbly and golden.
Step 6: Rest & Serve
Let lasagna rest:
15 minutes
before slicing.
