- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp seasoned salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp ground ginger
For the Honey Garlic Teriyaki Sauce
- ½ cup teriyaki sauce
- ⅓ cup honey
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp sesame oil, optional
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp cold water, if needed to thicken
🔥 Directions
Pat those wings really dry first—that’s one of the secrets to getting them crispy.
Toss the wings with olive oil, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, seasoned salt, pepper, and ginger.
For the oven, arrange them on a wire rack over a foil-lined baking sheet. Bake at 425°F for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until browned, crispy, and cooked through.
For the air fryer, cook at 390°F for about 20–24 minutes, flipping or shaking halfway through. Work in batches so you don’t crowd them.
While they’re cooking, add the teriyaki sauce, honey, brown sugar, garlic, soy sauce, butter, sesame oil, and ginger to a small saucepan. Simmer over medium-low heat for about 5–7 minutes, stirring often.
If you want that sauce thick and sticky like the wings in your picture, stir in the cornstarch slurry and simmer another minute or two.
Once the wings are crispy, toss them in that warm honey-garlic teriyaki sauce until every wing is coated. 😮💨🔥
For extra sticky wings, put them back in the oven for 3–5 minutes after saucing.
👩🏽🍳 Easy Eatz Expert Tip
Don’t sauce the wings before they’re crispy. Cook first, sauce last. Otherwise, that honey can burn before your chicken gets that beautiful crispy skin.
And don’t drown them in sauce—we want them sticky and glazed, not swimming. 😂
Storage & Reheating I
Keep leftovers refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3–4 days. Reheat them in the air fryer at 375°F for 5–7 lol minutes to bring the texture back.
