Creamy Lime Sauce
- ½ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- Juice of 2 limes
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Taco Toppings
- 8 small flour or corn tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cabbage mix
- 1 avocado, diced
- 1 cup pico de gallo
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- ½ cup crumbled cotija cheese (optional)
- Lime wedges for serving
Instructions
Step 1: Season the Shrimp
In a bowl combine:
- shrimp
- olive oil
- chili powder
- paprika
- garlic powder
- cumin
- onion powder
- salt
- pepper
Toss until coated.
Step 2: Cook the Shrimp
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook shrimp:
2ā3 minutes per side
Until pink and slightly charred.
Step 3: Make the Lime Sauce
Whisk together:
- sour cream
- mayonnaise
- lime juice
- garlic powder
- paprika
- salt
Refrigerate until ready to use.
Step 4: Warm Tortillas
Heat tortillas in a dry skillet:
30 seconds per side
Step 5: Assemble
Fill each tortilla with:
- cabbage
- shrimp
- avocado
- pico de gallo
- cotija cheese
- cilantro
Drizzle generously with creamy lime sauce.
Step 6: Serve
Serve with:
- lime wedges
- tortilla chips
- Mexican rice
- black beans
